Absolutely! Heat damaged wines are often referred to as cooked. The ideal storage temperature for wine is generally accepted to be 58°F. Wines exposed to extreme temperatures will thermally expand, and may even push up between the cork and bottle and leak from the top. Heat damaged wines often become oxidized, shed their flavors and turn dull and worthless. This can happen in a matter of minutes so be careful folks
